What we do and how we do it

The current owners took over the business in 2003, after June Allan joined the staff as a Travel Consultant. She liked the shop, and particularly the staff, so much that when the previous owners announced their retirement, she bought the business. With her background with a specialist tour operator, she brought a new dimension to the business with a depth of knowledge of more adventurous travel.

So, if you want to trek to Everest Base Camp or Machu Picchu, cycle in South Africa or take a photographic cruise to the Arctic, we can certainly advise. In recent years, June has developed a new passion for the Arctic and the Northern Lights and has taken groups from Devizes to Norway and Iceland. All this added to the solid knowledge and experience of the existing staff. Whilst all the staff have years of experience working in a travel agency and hence, can offer advice on all kinds of holidays, specialist interests have developed reflecting changing lifestyles.

With a growing family, Alison Moffat can offer excellent advice on family holidays whether in Florida or the Mediterranean, and unexpectedly, as her nephews and nieces entered their late teens, she’s become a dab hand at organising group holidays to the party spots of Europe!!! Sue Young has become our cruise expert, having enjoyed cruising herself and now that her son has a family, there’s not much that she doesn’t know about villas and resorts suitable for extended families.

So, all in all, we can offer sensible, practical advice on all areas of travel from adventurous to luxury, high end to budget and flight only to National Express.

We have our own coffee shop on the premises, with pleasant outdoor seating in Albion Place and if you come in to talk about a trip, you’re always welcome to an excellent cup of coffee at the same time.
